This time i'm voting event for expats living in Hungary
How to vote at the European elections in Hungary if you are a non-Hungarian EU citizen?
As Europeans, we face many challenges, from migration to climate change, from youth unemployment to data privacy. We live in an ever more globalized, competitive world. At the same time, the Brexit referendum has demonstrated that the EU is not an irrevocable project. And while most of us take democracy for granted, it also seems under increasing threat, both in principle and practice.
With the descend of voter turnout in Europe, Hungary is currently on less than 29% with 43% being the average in the EU. This requires people from all backgrounds to come together, take initiative, and get spaces to discuss topics freely. The Jövőképző initiative invites you to a free workshop to multiply the information on how to register to vote if you are a part an EU citizen living in Hungary or if you are currently in a network of potential voters. This time we are approaching you to offer a 90 minute course entitled "This time Europe votes," in this session we will cover:·
- European major civic issues
- Information about the role of the EP
- Information on how to vote from Hungary as an expat and how to mobilize the expat community
We look forward to meet you and to create a network of active multipliers!
The event is co-orginized with Jövőképző to finalise your registration, please visit this website: https://tiedajovod.hu/kurzusaink/this_time_europe_votes/
